Nathaniel “Mr. Bishop” Jenkins

I started cutting hair in high school for my friends who were in the National Guard and JROTC. I continued to do haircuts at Anacortes High School in the bathroom by the choir room, in my garage at home, and occasionally at a friend's house, using random clippers and scissors. 

I attended Bates Technical College Barber Program, taught by former Washington State Board President Jeff Olson. I worked at Lelands Barbershop in Spokane, WA for three of the seventy years it has been open.

I've been in Bellingham since Fall 2020 and started Bishop’s Lounge in the Summer of 2023.
